On Monday, May 25 in Minneapolis, a Police officer named Derik Chauvin suffocated an innocent man named George Floyd. Derik Chauvin committed manslaughter, yet he was only charged with 3rd degree murder, which carries a lesser sentence. George Floyd was a father and a husband. It is unfair to treat someone differently because of the color of their skin. A part of someone that they can't change should not be used against them.
