City of Yellowknife Council members: we, residents of Yellowknife, call on you to NOT support the proposal for a rock quarry adjacent to the Vee Lake Road and in proximity to the Ranney Hill nature trail.

Whereas, we, who use the Vee Lake Road and areas of nature off said road for purposes of recreation, fishing, hiking, berry picking, camping, biking, skiing, tourism services, access to cottages, aurora viewing, nature viewing, et cetera, are concerned with the adverse effects of industrial quarrying on the above activities, and the safety of vehicular traffic on the road;

Whereupon the undersigned, your petitioners, humbly call upon the City Council to NOT authorize the use of this land for quarry activities.
