Change WOODSTOCK Recreational and Utility Vehicles By-Law

As evidenced by a driving through our Woodstock residential areas, more and more people are purchasing Recreational Vehicles, utility trailers...etc.

The current height and length restriction, as well as, prohibited driveway parking, no longer reflect current owners needs.

Owners should be able to have these on their private driveway!

Not only to be able to access the unit, but to save storage costs and ensure  protection from theft or vandalism.

We, the undersigned request that the City of Woodstock By-Law 5.2.6.2, Recreational and Utility Vehicles be amended to reflect current ownership needs in Woodstock.

We believe in the following changes to 5.2.6.2 Recreational and Utility Vehicles:

Update 5.2.6.2.1 to include

iii) allow one travel trailer, boat, motor home or similar recreational vehicle or utility trailer to be stored or parked on a residential driveway year round.  Located on any front yard or exterior side yard no closer than 1 meter to the rear lot line or interior side lot line.  Provided that no part of the recreational vehicle is within 2 metres from the edge of pavement/road finish.

Amend 5.2.6.2.2

  • length - repeal (currently 7.5 m)
  • height - 4.14 metres (currently 2.7 m)

City of Woodstock residents only please :)
