Say NO to Proposed Annexation of Lake Roberts Reserve Property.

Developer Robert Zlatkiss purchased the property to the north east of Lake Roberts, west of Walker’s Pond, and south of Stoneybrook Parkway. He is requesting annexation into the City of Winter Garden so he can rezone the property to build a subdivision of 90 homes called Lake Roberts Reserve. A few of those houses would be lakefront houses on Lake Roberts. He plans to build a causeway from Stoneybrook Parkway through what is now wetlands to reach the landlocked property, as he was denied access through Walker’s Pond Road itself.
Our area is growing quickly and with more and more land being developed for residential and commercial use, the beautiful trees and natural habitats for our community’s wildlife are rapidly disappearing. Residents of nearby areas don't want these small pockets of green space to be replaced by a solid expanse of development. Protecting these areas help preserve what is unique to Florida. In addition, we desire to retain the peaceful, small town character of our community. The overcrowding is not consistent with the lifestyle we chose when we moved here, and we do not want to see a road and a sea of roofs and concrete instead of trees, birds, wetlands and wildlife from our backyards.
Adding more houses and people to this area will also overcrowd the roads and schools, create more noise and pollution, and decrease our home values.
We strongly oppose this project and ask that the City of Winter Garden deny annexation of this property.
