Doheny Sunset Plaza Neighborhood Association started this petition to City of West Hollywood

Do you want a 4-story, 13,900 square-foot "digital canvas" as the view from your window, shining light into your home day and night?

This is exactly what's proposed for the lot at 9160-9176 Sunset Blvd (currently Hornburg Jaguar).  So if you live north or west of this site, you will be affected.

Here are a few ways to imagine this size:

  • Nearly 1/3 of an acre.
  • More than twice the size of most nearby residential lots.
  • 20 times the size of regular large billboards.
  • More than a quarter of a football field.

Because of the scale, those living north or west of this sign and those working in the office buildings across the street will be the main audience for this.  Do you want this?

Currently the development is in the early stage of the approval process.  An "Initial Study" has been prepared.  If you are interested in learning more, you can find it here.

The good news is that it's not too late to make your voice heard.

You can sign this petition and you can also do more.  You can let West Hollywood City Council and the West Hollywood Planning Department know exactly what you think about this proposal.

We are looking for an OVERWHELMING response BY AUGUST 4 which represents the deadline for comments for this phase of the approval process.

Please share your thoughts with the following by email:

If you live in the City of Los Angeles, please also copy mehmet.berker@lacity.org, our CD4 field deputy.  We will be asking our Councilmember for a letter as well.

You can also phone the West Hollywood City Council Offices to object.  The phone number there is (323) 848-6460.

This effort is coordinated by a coalition of affected neighbors and included the Doheny Sunset Plaza Neighborhood Association.
