Bend River Motocross is such an amazing asset to our community. Waco, Kentucky is a small town in Central Kentucky. Many teenagers in the area do not have constructive extracurricular activities, Bend River provides an outlet for kids to get off the sofa and direct their energy in a positive manner. Parents are thrilled that their children finally have somewhere to ride their bikes. This started out as just a family hobby which quickly drew in the community asking if they could utilize our track too. This isn't a for-profit business, but more like a hobbyists dream to teach others the art of Motocross. My son who is an avid rider finally has found his niche in life to teach others the method, rules and safety of Motocross. Everyone who has visited his homemade track is truly impressed with the work and dedication he has. Part of the reason I purchased the 140 acres in Waco, was so that my children would have a place to ride and not be influenced by big city life somewhere else. We love the small town atmosphere and the amazing, inviting community our neighbors have provided. Many of our neighbors have applauded our efforts in giving the kids in the area a place to ride. Even our neighbors who don't ride have voiced how it does not bother them one bit for it to be next door. This is a large piece of property with at least 50 or more acres between our track and any other residential area. We are asking the community and bike enthusiasts to support our mission. We are prepared for the challenge ahead. This petition is our starting point to show how much the community supports us.
