City of Venice: Golf Course Maintenance Hours Change Petition
Why this petition matters
The City of Venice current noise ordinance for golf course maintenance is as follows:
Golf course maintenance. The operator of a golf course and its employees and contractors may not utilize power equipment and tools to perform golf course maintenance between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

We believe 5:00 am is far too early for loud commercial mowing equipment to be operating in close proximity to residential homes, condos and apartments. We also believe that there are thousands of Venice residents who agree, and will support our efforts to stop this early hour disturbance of the peace.
We are proposing to the City of Venice that the ordinance be changed to:
Golf course maintenance. The operator of a golf course and its employees and contractors may not utilize power equipment and tools to perform golf course maintenance between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
With your support, we will present our proposal to change the ordinance with the City of Venice.
If approved, residents will enjoy 2 more hours of peaceful sleep. If we lose, 5:00 am wake up calls will unfortunately continue.
