Help Increase Accessible Mental Health Services for People Living in Poverty

Every day, many people on the streets go without food, shelter, or any way of making money. Often its not even their fault, 35% of all homeless people suffer from mental illnesses. That’s greater than the number of homeless people who suffer from drug/alcohol related problems, and even greater than the number of homeless women. And the numbers of mentally ill homeless people have only been going up. Whether its the cause of how they got on the street, or a result of them being there, its a problem that needs to be addressed. In a 2013 survey, 32% of homeless respondents showed a need for more mental health services.
By signing this petition, you bring these people one step closer to getting the help they need.
