Preserve Accessibility for Disabled Students

The city of Vancouver proposes to build a protected bike lane from Drake and Marinaside to the Burrard Bridge.

Not only is this unnecessary as Drake runs along the Seawall, which is already a protected bike path, it will eliminate or drastically reduce parking along Drake St, where Elsie Roy Elementary School is.

Elsie Roy is a public school and is attended by many physically disabled students who rely on having parking directly in front of the school. Elsie Roy does not have it's own parking lot or loading zone. Forcing them to park even one or two blocks away would negatively impact their education by causing them to start their day already exhaused.

Elsie Roy is a public building and disabled parking access should be a priority.

Tell City of Vancouver that accessibly cannot be compromised.
