because the West End is one of the last real neighborhoods in the city, and it needs its diversity of people. All people need to be given a chance to live somewhere decent, somewhere that feels like their home.

This is not just unique to the WE it is happening throughout the city. City of Vancouver doesn't value any citizen input.

The west end is busy enough already. People shouldn't be allowed to own residential real estate in the lower mainland unless it is rented out long term or it is their primary residence as declared with the canada revenue agency. That is how to address the housing crisis in the lower mainland.

The West End is my home, and its heartbreaking to see it being gutted like this.

You need to uphold the agreement and it's intended purpose. There will be no "community" left if everything is replaced by towers. It's gotten so dark around downtown with all these towers blocking out the sun we have to leave the downtown area to enjoy the sun. More towers will only make this worse. With them will go all the small businesses that help make this a great community. We are already down to our last gas station which will be gone sooner than later. How many more "last ones" do we need to see before action is taken? Proactive responses are needed, reactive ones will be too late.

I was born and raised in the West End, and it was a great place to grow up in. There is no other neighbourhood like it in the Lower Mainland. It is a rare mixture of a few blocks that is a village surrounded by lots of walkable, tree lined streets. The whole thing is surrounded by beautiful beaches and rainforest and this amazing village is right in the middle, and within walking distance of a lively city centre. It is really rare so we want to keep it for future generations of West Enders.

As a long time west end resident. The changes are ruining our neighbourhood. Community is all but a centre now. All this continuous growth with absolutely no infrastructure. We are a disaster waiting to happen.

End does not become another empty neighbourhood like Coal Harbor.
