Why this petition matters

Started by Kristin Kirkner

The Culbreath Bayou Neighborhood was established about 60 years ago. It has been a haven for growing families which has promoted neighborhood camaraderie, friendships, beauty and safety by way of our Culbreath Bayou Neighborhood Association. Our neighborhood enjoys beautiful homes, a safe community and increasing property values year after year.

I am sure you have noticed the conditions of our streets. We have called many times over the years to improve the streets and fix dangerous potholes. In the last 40 years the city has come in and paved a spot here and there and patched areas leaving nearby areas unpatched. The repairs have been happenstance to say the least.

The Culbreath Bayou area consists of 150 parcels with a total taxable value of$62,277,982 and a total City of Tampa tax of $3,865,968.01. (From Tax Collector’s Office August 2020).

Recently calls have been made to the Infrastructure and Mobility Department concerning the conditions of our streets. In order to make a statement while we have their attention, we are circulating a petition to represent the will of our tax paying residents to have our neighborhood streets paved for the safety of our children, bikers, walkers, and drivers. Please sign this petition that makes your will known to our city officials.

AS A RESIDENT OF THE CULBREATH BAYOU NEIGHBORHOOD, I HEREBY PETITION TO HAVE OUR STREETS PAVED FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR RESIDENTS.
