Bianca Zapata started this petition to City of San Antonio and

A proposed rezoning of undeveloped land adjacent to the Heights of Crownridge is underway. A developer has proposed to residents of this beautiful neighborhood nestled in Crownridge to build another apartment complex. The proposed development is strictly for a multi-family dwelling with no support or negotiations for the current zone for single family housing. Along Babcock there are already several apartment complexes, one which has been built adjacent to the Heights of Crownridge neighborhood already. The existing apartments already take away from the beautiful landscape, environment, and safety of the neighborhood.

The proposal for the single family housing does not include saving the surrounding green space, limiting the acreage used for the “phase 2” development, nor is there any effort to add additional entry points to the new development limiting all access to the new single family development to Real Ridge and Hays Hill  “the ONLY way in”. Heights of Crownridge residents are in support of the single family development with additional entry points, which would reduce traffic through the existing neighborhood and save more of the green space surrounding the neighborhood. The residents believe there could be more ideas from developers who are wanting and willing to take input from residents of the surrounding neighborhood.

Please tell our neighbors and share this post. Residents attended a meeting at Councilman Pelaez office, but our re-elected official was not present and sent his staff.
