The recently modified process for addressing unsafe driving and speeding in the City of Rochester requires 10 signatures. There are certainly more than 10 people who want to see some action, so please consider adding your name to this petition.

The Manor Neighborhood has a speeding problem that makes the area less safe for all users of neighborhood roadways. This has been a known issue for sometime, however meaningful action has not occurred. Recently a family pet was killed by a hit and run driver who is know to frequently speed through the neighborhood.

Withing the neighborhood there is disagreement about what possible solutions should be. The request would be for the neighborhood & city to come up with a plan to address speeding and make the neighborhood safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and automobiles.

The Manor Neighborhood is larger than the City of Stewartville but the people who live there have no safe access to the rest of the 100 mile Rochester trail system. There are 3 Parks and 2 schools in the Manor area but simply crossing the street to get to these places can be unsafe.
