Live music should be more available all over Richmond and time limits originally set around archaic work schedules need to be amended to reflect our citizens activity patterns and needs.

Growing up in RVA, I've spent may nights and actually helped coordinate a few musical events at the Camel. It's a local staple of emerging artists and gives them and other more established bands a chance to share an intimate evening with their fans.

I live literally right behind The Camel. I'm a light sleeper and have super thin walls in my apartment making outside noises a disturbance. I've lived here for a while now and have NEVER heard a peep from inside The Camel. I was really surprised that I couldn't hear anything and that The Camel is struggling to keep their music going past certain hours. There's absolutely no reason to put any time restriction on such an awesome venue that attracts so many people from the Richmond community. Finally, Richmond's music scene is growing and helping local businesses succeed, why would anyone want to prohibit that?
