My husband and I ride a tandem and have found routes on road to avoid crowded areas such as bike paths. This would help allow more people to exercise while social distancing.

The closure of all state and then city public open spaces prevents us from accessing hundreds of acres of soothing natural beauty with plenty of room to keep a safe distance while getting some exercise, or just some fresh air and a few precious minutes of relief from being penned inside 4 walls all day. Making some city streets pedestrian-only will help to mitigate some of this loss until the parks can be re-opened. It should be done in all Providence neighborhoods.

Physical health may be improved by closing public parks....but mental health is harmed. Please reopen the parks for running and walking. Failing that, open the streets!
