Mr. Baruch McDoodle (a veteran of the USAF) risks his life every day directing traffic to protect the children who go to the school during pick up and drop off. People constantly speed past him. It forces him to blow his whistle and oftentimes jump out of the way to avoid being run over. Because it is such a high traffic area with limited space for pickup and drop-off there needs to be a school zone speed limit flashing /slow down light in order to keep our children, Mr. McDoodle and our current crossing guards safe. Our former crossing guard has already been hit at that corner. When a parent called to ask for a blinking light she was told that we have to pay for it. We pay taxes like anybody else and believe that this is a necessity that should be paid for by the city. Please use the taxes we pay to keep our children and our friends safe. Thank you.
