We in the communities surrounding 12th Street and Northern feel strongly that moving the QT Gas Station to the corner in which Carlos O’Briens once resided would be a very negative change for our community. As the community evolves, we thrive on local restaurants, and the advance of our neighborhoods. Given the traffic of the QT on 7th street and Las Palmaritas, we firmly believe that both the foot and vehicle traffic would be absolutely detrimental to the progress we have made. In addition to the traffic issues we believe will ensue, we fear that the placement of this gas station will create further issues with drifters walking through our streets, and even more issues pertaining to the public intoxication we witness leave from the Arco Station (which is already roughly 50 feet from the perspective location of the QT). 

We as a community hope you can see how places such a highly trafficked gas station will create more issues, and potentially more crime. We continue to strive to support local businesses such as RedThai, Back Alley CrossFit, and the many other businesses that populate our slowly evolving shopping complex. As we as a community continue to share our concerns with one another, we ask that you do NOT place this station in our neighborhood. Thank you for your time, we look forward to hearing from you.
