North Indian Canyon Drive and North Gene Autry Trail are vital corridors in and out of the Palm Springs area, both for local residents as well as residents of outlying regions from as close as Desert Hot Springs and as far as the Lucerne Valley. People use these roadways for such mundane purposes as shopping, and as vital as hospitals and other medical professionals, or for work.

These roads are frequently closed due to blowing sand and the people who regularly use these roads are forced to find ways around the closures, which is difficult given the size of the area and lack of other corridors.

Current efforts have proven insufficient and a more permanent solution is required, especially as the population in the region grows.

We are requesting bridges be built to allow the sand to continue its movement eastward, and allow people access to the area.
