Linda Mar Woods is a forested hill located at the end of Higgins Way in Pacifica. It is widely used by hikers and mountain bikers. Sadly the hill has been neglected for decades and is deteriorating. San Pedro Mountain Road is full of potholes and washed out in several locations. The bushes and vines are choking the trail making it harder to use each year. The forest is full of eucalyptus trees that are shedding bark laying tinder on the forest floor creating a fire hazard. Invasive plants are growing everywhere making the forest land more difficult to hike. This waste and deterioration has to stop before we lose the forest.

The property owner has proposed saving the forest by restoring it as a shared use property with hiking and mountain biking trails with a residential neighborhood at the top of the hill. The hiking and biking trails will be renovated and expanded for free public access and use. The homes will be affordable for moderate income families. The entire project will be designed for outdoor recreational living.
