Complete lack of infrastructure: water drainage, no storm sewers, no sidewalks, poor road maintenance including damage due to all of the construction, increasing traffic due to neighbourhood densification & people cutting through the neighbourhood to avoid Baseline, Merivale. Meadowlands & Woodroffe with many speeding, not stopping at stop signs nor moving over for cyclists/pedestrians with adequate space, no street lamps, parking, no green space. For a "walking neighbourhood" it is dangerous to walk! I do not object to some densification but this is too much on top of what we are already not managing well. City planners are oblivious to the realities of the impact this much densification is having on the neighbourhood & ignoring basic concepts of human behaviour.

Intensification needs to be compatible with the character of the community; this is not.

I'm signing this petition because the proposed development represents the worst of a very flawed intensive development policy by the city.

This is not a precedent that should be set for this neighborhood.

While I understand that intensification in the area is well underway, is unavoidable, this level of concentration is unacceptable. The infrastructure in the area simply cannot cope.

This is a residential area and should be kept as such. Tearing down a single dwelling to create 4 units is nothing but greed. We need to keep what green space we have.

1. Proposed rezoning of 75 Granton will interfere with our ability to use and enjoy our property at 47 Starwood Road, Nepean/Ottawa.
2. It will cause increased traffic in our area, choke up the streets with parked cars AND will reduce property values.
3. It will NOT fit into the existing character of the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood has been single family dwellings for 70 years. As far as we know it is all single family, this change will be the first.
4. With eights proposed units, there will be at least 16 cars of the residents and with only FOUR PARKINGS, 12 cars will be parked on both sides of Granton street and hence IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, AN AMBULANCE WON'T BE ABLE TO PASS-BY and/or able to PICK-UP the SICK PEOPLE FROM THESE UNITS AND THE NEARBY RESIDENCES. SUCH SITUATIONS CAUSED A DEATH OF A PERSON IN NEW DELHI because the Ambulance couldn't pick-up the patient because of cars parked on both sides of a small street.
5. With the Electric Wires on the side of the proposed eight units i.e. on Bassano Street, IT WILL BE A VERY UNHEALTHY RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT / CONDO BUILDING FOR EIGHT FAMILIES WITH A MINIMUM OF 20 PEOPLE RESIDING THERE.
