Who would like to know why their City Councillor voted in favour of a hazmat truck ?
Who wants to know why their city councillor voted in support of a hazmat truck at a cost of $ 650,000 with no improvement of Fire Services response times. At the present time Oshawa Fire Services will arrive at your location on time only 50 % of the time. This could affect anyone of us living in Oshawa at any time. Station one is lacking one full size suppression vehicle and city council passed a vote in support of a hazmat truck with a vote of 7 - 4 . This truck is at a cost of $650,000 and it is not equipped to improve the response times in case of a fire. As this is a municipal election year, we want to hear from Councillor Hurst, Councillor Kerr, Councillor Marks, Councillor Gray, Councillor Chapman, Councillor McConkey and current Mayor and what they based their decision on. If you want to hear from your city councillor…please sign this petition.
