Imalsha Dewpura started this petition to City of Montreal and

Too many recipients of police brutality and mishandled cases with a lack of support from the city.

There are a number of cases that have gone unnoticed of charges against minorities who have done no wrong but get brutalized and treated poorly.

What is needed spotlight on the legal system that allows  for police rough handling, racial profilling, and unwarranted  violence against minorities. A way to free up those who were wrongly tried in court would be class action lawsuit against  the police to help those who have experienced such hateful, discriminatory behaviours from the police.

We need support for those who have been wrongly arrrested get free, and rehabiltate  them back into society.

A beloved  muslim middle eastern friend who faces charges brought on by getting tackled by police at red light because they questioned why there were being stopped and asked for there name.

They did not resist yet was forced to the ground. What transpired after were charges that would disable there freedom to speak freely, and removal of there livelihood. They were not given support to help rehabilitate post sentencing.

Lets be the supporting figures, and help those who need assistance in legal matters of those who were wrongly charged and/or discriminated against by police/legal system.
