In Downtown Minot if anyone has driven on 1st Ave Ne, you have driven on the bumpiest road in town. This avenue is a public access road which has been part of a huge debate of who owns this road. The City of Minot says it is owned by BNSF and other Private property. However, it is a public access through street used to access many businesses and homes in The City of Minot. I have had employees and clients receive damage to their vehicles because of all of the potholes and it is only getting worse. I fear what will happen once the snow flies. I have contacted the City multiple times as long as other businesses downtown to please come fix and maintain this road. I have contacted Minot streets, engineer department and even the Mayor. They assure me their is nothing that can be done. I am starting this petition to get the ball rolling, the city has to be able to come and fix this public access road that is used by so many and affecting citizens as well as small business owners like myself. The road could be paved or even filled with with gravel and graded. Please help by signing this petition!
