The historic Deauville Hotel was designed in 1957 by noted Miami Modern architect Melvin Grossman. The hotel was the site of the Beatles performance on the Ed Sullivan show which helped start Beatlemania in the USA. It is located at 6701 Collins Ave in Miami Beach, Florida.

Unfortunately, the hotel has fallen under difficult times and has deteriorated to an unsafe condition under its current ownership. It remains shuttered and neglected, leading to a major economic depression of the surrounding North Beach commercial area. Reports of pieces of the building falling off have been shared by locals and visitors alike. What was once a thriving community hub is now a sad and empty vestige of its former glory.

The City of Miami Beach has taken legal action against the property owners to bring the building up to compliance in terms of life safety and security.

We support the City of Miami Beach's efforts to ensure that the Deauville Hotel is brought back to life in a safe way and to restore the values of good stewardship, economic vibrancy, and historic preservation which reflects our tropical, urban, historic community.

HELP! us save this important part of mid-century architectural history and a true Beatles landmark.
