I am signing because there is too much development going on with bo regard for ecosystems. This thoughtless process is putting wildlife and humans in conflict and it never works in favor of wildlife.

I do not understand why Langford has to develop every square inch of their municipality. Then people wonder why the traffic is so bad driving to the west shore and why there are increasing wildlife-human conflicts. We should be preserving our trees and natural spaces, not destroying them.

This is my neighbourhood. I have lived here for 12 years and would like to see the integrity preserved. We need a nature corridor at the very least.

Langford has destroyed more than enough of it's natural heritage in order to develop a lucrative tax base. It should now respect the interests of nature and the people who are concerned with preserving the natural heritage that is left and creating parkland for future generations.

It is undeniable that the serious economic and environmental problems people face today are the result of decades of inaction by all levels of government and business including a failure to recognize and address the growing disillusionment among the great masses of everyday people wanting a fairer economy for everyone and a better quality of life for all in a clean and natural environment. We do not believe in the mythology of a strong economy at the expense of the natural environment. We believe that all people throughout our great land feel a great and urgent need to work together to restore our economy AND our environment in a sustainable manner if we want a better world for our children and grandchildren. This is the greatest challenge of our generation and it’s outcome will determine the fate of our society and our civilization.

I am a director for Lohbrunner Community Farm Cooperative on Lippincott Rd. Langford.
The City of Langford with it's rapid development has used up vast amounts of farmland and green space for commercial and residential purposes. This is happening much too fast. Their agenda seems to want to make Langford into another Surrey. It is time for Langford residents to wake up, demand more parks and insist on preserving farms and greenspace!
