The City of Lakeway ZAPCO and City Council are considering a rezoning of the 3.48 Acres of land located at 309 RR 620 N, commonly known as Pope Enterprises.

This would rezone the property from a C1-AG Residential and Agricultural zone to a Planned Unit Development (PUD).

Adjacent to this property is the Canyons at Cardinal Hills subdivision; an 88 home community of single family custom homes.  Be it known those undersigned are residents and homeowners within the community who are concerned with this rezoning and hereby request ZAPCO and the City Council decline this request to rezone, given the potential impact to our neighborhood.   As a quiet family community, the potential impact of a large multi-family apartment complex would be detrimental to our area traffic, property values, and quality of life.  As most in our neighborhood have been in the area for 15+ years, a change like this would drive many out of Lakeway.  

The City of Lakeway has a long standing tradition of providing a high quality of life, and such a facility goes against why our residents pay a premium to live outside the Austin city limits.
