Build safety speed tables on Bear Creek Parkway in Hidden Lakes
Bear Creek Parkway in Hidden Lakes has become a throughway for speeders trying to get from one side of town to the other. Yet these speeders have no regard for the families walking the sidewalks/trails or the bikers riding along the road toward trails. Accidents are bound to happen if this continues.
Many families are walking (or biking) with young children along the sidewalks on Bear Creek Parkway every day at all hours of the day. All it would take is one driver texting or not paying attention to go off the road at their speed and hit one or more of the people trying to enjoy the outdoors.
There are also treacherous areas where people are trying to pull out of their subdivision onto the Parkway and are nearly hit by those traveling too fast down the Parkway with no regard for entering traffic.
We propose installation of 4-5 speed "tables" - not speed "bumps" along Bear Creek Parkway to encourage drivers to honor the 35 mph limits and ultimately prevent against any potential accidents, some of which could be fatal.
Thank you in advance for your support and consideration.
