The Allendale road and K73 Upgrad project:

50% is being paid for by the developer  of the Cannon/Canyon complex

aThis new upgrade did not allow for residents of Wilaway to voice, input or object. Residents will not be allowed to turn right out of Maple Road onto Allendale  toward the Kyalami racetrack. Current proposal  is for residents to turn left only, drive an additional 3-4 kms past Greig road.

Impact to Wilaway resident:

-increased mileage and fuel consumption  for private individuals  and residents,  safety issues  to drive rewards Greig and Allendale intersection.

-  Traffic on new detour not considered. Also, entrance back onto K55 seems like at at single lane section by Juksei bridge. Has traffic impact been consider there? No

- School drop off and pickup routes impacted for KPNS

- Possible loss of business to Kyalami  corner and Kyalami  on main shops as residents  will find it an inconvenience to travel up to Greig  road and all the way around to Kyalami  corner.  

- increased  carbon emissions with increased  driving.
