Ryan Tomblin started this petition to City of Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and

We the home owners of Lexington Park, are tired of unwanted "solicitors" entering into our community. Most of these "solicitors" are not properly credentialed with a peddlers license. The residents of Lexington Park find them to be pushy and rude. Additionally, we have found that many of the "solicitors" are in fact not "solicitors" at all; rather, they are scam artists, thieves, burglars and even home invaders. We the residents of Lexington Park deserve better! Our quality of life is being disturbed by these unwanted solicitors. The "solicitors" are sometimes dropped off in vans (12-15 passengers) left to canvass the entire neighborhood. Property crimes appear to increase after these incidents.

Jacksonville City Ordinance 2013-713-E provides that the city will, upon receipt of signatures of 60% (243 of 405 Homes), enforce the "No Soliciting" signs at the main entrance to our neighborhood. (Section 250.703(C)) This will constitute as sufficient notice that soliciting and peddling is now legally prohibited anywhere inside the boundaries of Lexington Park.

By signing this petition, I am notifying the City of Jacksonville that I live in Lexington Park and I want this ordinance enforced in my community.
