something needs to be done about the new LED street lights that cities are installing. Yeah they are great because of low energy and low maintenance, but suck for pretty much every other reason. They are way too bright in most cases, to bright on the kelvin scale in most cases and produce way too much glare when driving. City light engineers need to be educated on lighting design and the adverse effects they cause. I live in Seattle, WA and have talked to one the main people in charge, didn't seem like she cared much

I know the lighting the city of Houston is planning to roll out is dangerous to drivers, The glare is terrible. Outdoor light including street light should be limited to a temperature rating of 3000k. They should also be shielded so the light shines down ONLY.

These horrendous things are going in everywhere and creating dangerous conditions. Glare decreases visula acuity, making the dark shadows completely black because your eyes can't adjust.

Light pollution is a global issue - and more blue light at night is not the solution.
