Evelyn Richardson was a powerhouse in the Hartford community. A long time community activist, she spent a lot of her time and energy beautifying her neighborhood, and one of her projects was the establishment of a neighborhood garden on Enfield Street.

We would like to see the garden, located at 122/124 Enfield Street permanently designated the Evelyn R. Richardson Memorial Garden. 

This would carry on the work of Evelyn Richardson and allow the community to plant food crops as well as enjoy beautiful flowers. It would be a beautification project that will benefit the entire neighborhood and provide a place for the friends, family and community partners of Evelyn to gather, meditate, garden and help carry on her work.
