Change the Firework ordinance back to July 1st-July 8th in Harlan, IA
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Unfairly, and I’m sure without most of our knowledge, the ordinance for Fireworks was changed last November 2017 for the city of Harlan. The time allowed to set off fireworks was shortened to only permit fireworks to be set off on July 4th from 12pm to 11pm.
If you would like to petition the city of Harlan to change it back to the original times allowed (see below) then sign this petition and let our voices be heard!
- No person shall discharge fireworks outside the following dates and hours:
1) July 1 through July 8 from 12:00pm (noon) until 10:00pm, except for July 4 the hours shall be from 12:00pm (noon) until 11:00pm.
2) December 29 through January 1 from 12:00pm (noon) until 10:00pm, except December 31 the hours shall be from 12:00pm (noon) until January 1 at 12:30am.
