Homelessness can be defined as a person either couch surfing, living on the streets or not having a temporary home. As COVID19 has been a serious issue in our community over the past 18+ months we have all seen homelessness rates in Geelong increase dramtically due to loss of income caused by the closures of workplaces. As homelessness has increased, so has the amount of people seeking help from the Homeless shelters in Geelong. More and more people are seeking help, the high demand is causing a huge strains towards these organisations as they either do not have the appropriate funds or rooms to provide a bed to sleep in.

As a community it is our chance to give all in our community the chance to live a life where they have a safe place to sleep free from the cold and to provide them with  items that all have a right to receive and to use in their day to day lives.
