Going completely plastic free is hard, especially when so many of our daily essential items are made from plastic, or come in plastic packaging. But every change, whether big or small, can go a long way as it turns out billions of plastic brushes reach landfills globally each year (unfortunately this number doesn't account for the millions of those that don't make it into the trash!)

Reduce plastic toothbrushes by replacing them with environmentally friendly toothbrushes made from bamboo!

Throwaway plastic items i.e toothbrushes, straws, coffee cups, bottles etc are the greatest source of plastic pollution. Plastic items can take up to 1000+ years to decompose in landfills and/or end up in waterways - rivers, creeks and the ocean. See https://www.theoceancleanup.com where trash accumulates as known as ocean garbage patches, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch being one of the largest located between Hawaii and California. With a total of 5 known garbage patches plastic is left to circulate impacting ecosystems, health and economies. The quantity of plastic in oceans is expected to triple in a decade. There is already around 150 million tons of plastic floating in the ocean.

These plastic items enter the food change. The marine life, such as sea turtles, whales, dolphins, sea birds etc ingest it. Disposable plastics are bad for the environment, human health and wildlife. While micro plastics are near impossible to clean up, reducing plastic in every day life is possible and can prevent contribution to the existing impacts in the ocean and land. Bamboo toothbrushes are 99% bio degradable, vegan, eco friendly and compostable.

Raise awareness for plastic reduction and plastic alternatives!
