The reason for this petition is to remove Del Shelstad from his position as a County Commissioner in Campbell County. For the past three months our local library has been under attack by Del and his followers, with County Commissioner Del Shelsted at the forefront of that fight. Collectively, their goal is to move/ban up to 18 books that cover several topics such as LGBTQ, sex education, and women's empowerment.

Del continues to harass our library board and spread misinformation on the context of the publications. He also encourages his followers to spread hateful and untrue slurs' to the rest of the public, and doesn't believe our children should have a voice in the matters that pertain to their bodies and lifestyles.

Del governs through the eyes of his personal convictions rather than by the well-being of the public he serves, and is unable to separate Church from State. The commissioner has been in service for almost a year and has made is very obvious he is unfit for the position. 

Please help us take action to remove Del from his position!
