Tori Brown started this petition to city of duluth

As the seasons change from winter to spring and hockey comes to an end, the R.I.P Williams memorial rink is quickly transitioned from a hockey rink to a makeshift skatepark. For the past seven years skaters have been coming together to build/bring ramps and rails to the rink for all skill levels to skate. Because of the accessibility the rink seems to act as common ground amongst Duluth skaters. With this sense of community it's not hard to find friends new and old at the rink throughout the summer.

Currently the rink and surrounding area is maintained by Marge and Mabel who work nonstop to make sure the area looks its best for the community. These women trim, pull weeds and water the flowers everyday. If something needs to be done around the rink, odds are one of these ladies are working on it.

These women have come together to form a plan for next year that would open up the bathrooms, have the lights on at night and have concessions open for events. The first step to make this plan happen is to show the city interest from the community.
