"Ace" the dog. The emaciated animal was found Nov. 4 near an Ace Hardware store in Detroit. He was picked up by Detroit Animal Control. Even though several rescue groups stepped forward to save Ace Detroit Animal Control policy did not allow the release of Pitt Bulls. Even with the public outcry and a court order to prevent any action Detroit Animal control destroyed Ace on Thursday Nov 10.
Please sign the following petition for Ace's Law to require the release of animals that groups are able to take and end breed specific restrictions.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: City of Detroit: Detroit Animal Control.
Release Ace to Rescue Group for proper care
"Ace" the dog. The emaciated animal was found Nov. 4 near an Ace Hardware store in Detroit. He was picked up by Detroit Animal Control. Even though several rescue groups have stepped forward to save Ace Detroit Animal Control policy does not allow the release of Pitt Bulls and so Ace is schedule to be put down this Friday by Detroit Animal Control.
When Ace was found Detroit Animal Control was called and quickly arrived to remove the dog from the location. At that time many individuals and rescue organizations alike have committed funds to pay for all needed medical care and boarding, and many are willing to foster. Detroit Animal Control refused to cooperate with these individual and organizations, standing by its antiquated and foolish policy, which is to hold this animal for 5 days to allow for it's owner to reclaim him.
