Bring bee-loving flowers to Courtenay's Mile of Flowers!

As a community that avidly supports local food growers, the annual Mile of Flowers display is actually a source of its destruction! The flowers used by the City of Courtenay for this event are not all free of neonicotinoids, which are killing bee populations worldwide at an alarming pace. Without bees, farmers simply cannot grow food. We ask the City of Courtenay to respect the lives of bees, and our farmers' ability to successfully grow food, by using only bee-loving, non-neonicotinoid flowers, for the Mile of Flowers, and beyond!
