Laren Road is increasingly being used as a thoroughfare road from Metchosin Rd to Wishart Rd. It is expected that this activity will increase substantially once the Allandale pit is developed as Allandale will be a main road.

Laren Road has a number of children, dog walkers, elderly walkers, poor lighting and no sidewalks. It is understood that Laren Road is not on the City of Colwood's plan to install sidewalks in some neighborhoods. With increased traffic, often at a high speed, pedestrians are at risk of injury.

We are asking that the City of Colwood install traffic calming solutions such as speed bumps along Laren, between Metchosin and Pearkes, and between Allendale and Fargo.
