Decline the Ross Farms Variance and Subdivision Application S-3-2022

Decline the Ross Farms Variance and Subdivision Application S-3-2022
Why this petition matters
We, the citizens of Clarksville, specifically the Rossview Road community, petition the city to decline the Ross Farms variance and subdivision application S-3-2022. At present, there is far too much congestion in the area from road construction, over 1000 new homes already being built, and 2500+ apartments.
When residents enter the Rossview/Exit 8 corridor, they’re immediately met with crawling traffic & bottlenecks. Powell Road and Dunbar Cave having another subdivision sandwiched between them is a huge safety risk and will only compound the stress on infrastructure and schools. This high level of stress significantly decreases the quality of life for current homeowners and anyone travelling through the area.
If the city doesn’t hear the pleas of the community to stop this development, we will have many homes on the market or sitting vacant as residents flee a town that doesn’t value their feedback. This subdivision would further overcrowd schools and cripple the transportation department as the buses are already struggling to meet the driver demand.
We ask that you decline the variance requested as it does not meet subdivision regulations. A neighborhood of this size requires more than two outlets and should not need to funnel cars through another subdivision.
