This is a beautiful park - the kids play ball, soccer etc in this park and it’s amidst a wonderful area that is full of families with children...everyone in Fairfield loves to go to this park as well as others who visit because it’s a great park ... please don’t let this die...

This is a no-brainer! Healthy communities start with playgrounds and safe play areas. There is a will, now it is up to the city to find a way.

Our family is blessed enough to live off of this wonderful space. Hoping to see our park back to its original glory soon. Also wondering where our hockey nets and basketball hoop have gone....

As a resident of Fairfield Island whose children frequent Emerald Park, I have a vested interest in seeing the equipment replaced, and ideally, expanded, to better serve the needs of families.

It is already a difficult task to get kids to step away from electronic devices; having access to safe and engaging play structures is a key component of a thriving childhood, and a vital neighbourhood.

I would entreat the relevant person’s at City Hall to expedite the repairs/improvements to Emerald Park in advance of the summer break from school.

Too many playgrounds already lack equipment for the kids to use. Little kids need to see that their town won’t be deterred by the vandals who destroyed their play place
