Change the Rose "Peddlers" Ordinance For Downtown Charleston
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
This petition is in response to the unfair targeting of young African American males who are taking part in the selling Palmetto roses in Downtown Charleston, South Carolina. We are determined to ensuring that ordinance that covers the Palmetto Artisans program be changed to provide greater structure to the program, protects the young men and women who are involved, as well as ends the policing practices that have led to the criminalization of the aforementioned young men and women.
Please sign this petition as a message to Mayor Tecklenberg and the Charleston City Council that we, THE COMMUNITY, are watching to make sure that this ordinance is modified to protect our young people!
On our own we are limited, but together our power is immeasurable. SIGN NOW!
