Save our frogs!

TO: The City of Cape Town, I don't know where to begin to stop this. There's a little canal next to Zandvlei Caravan Park that used to be full of bulrushes and frogs. Last year a team of workers arrived and turned it into a green desert of kikuyu grass. This winter reeds and frogs were JUST beginning to return, when today this happened: a new team of workers are busy flattening the reeds and attacking the stream with weed eaters! I've asked them to leave the stream and a few agreed, but the others are going on right now. It's terrible. Who authorises this and why? The reeds protect the frogs - as soon as the reeds were stripped away last year, the stream dried up and the frogs were exposed and eaten by herons from the vlei.. It was terrible to watch. Please help!
