To Subdivide, rezone and transfer portion of Erf8816, Durmonte

It has come to the attention to the residents of the quiet suburb of Durmonte, Durbanville, that our access road has for the past 18 years been crossing private land. It now looks like the new owners and developers would like to use this fact to their advantage, to build an extremely high density flat unit on their GB2 zoned erf.
The extension of Brackenfell Boulevard would not occur for many years as more needed infrastructure development, is needed elsewhere in Durbanville, i.e. Fisantekraal with their Garden Cities development and other similar sites in the Greater City of Cape Town
We the residents and tenants of Durmonte would like to compel the city of Cape Town to Subdivide, rezone and transfer part of Erf 8816, Durmonte to them.
The cost of buying the piece of land would be much lower than a full/part extension of Brackenfell Boulevard and would resolve any future conflict with property owners be it the Farm in the Cape Farm District or the current or future owners of Erf 8816
The residents of Durmonte could thus keep using their access road knowing that their tax money was used for the greater good of Durmonte and the Greater Durbanville.
