Bring back the bridge over Beaverbrook Drive

On July 26th. a dump truck hit the pedestrian overpass on Beaverbrook Drive, luckily no one was on the overpass at that time despite the fact that this is a popular route for Village Daycare and Preschoolers, toddlers and preschoolers are not the only users of the overpass as the whole neighborhood uses it to avoid the busy street traffic crossings, including attendees of Burnaby Mountain Secondary School.
A typical user of this bridge now has to walk along and cross traffic streets with their toddlers in tow.
We want to make sure that the City of Burnaby make the right choice to rebuild the overpass sooner than later.
As of now, the City of Burnaby has not made any decisions regarding the bridge and has not reached out to the community to for any feedback.
Since the usage of this overpass has not been monitored and no statistic available we feel it's important to have our voice heard and share with the city how important this bridge is to our community
