Frank Mancia started this petition to City of Bell

Fourth of July will always be remembered as our day of independence. With this independence also brought unity in the US. In this day and age, we all come together with family or/and friends and celebrate this wonderful event. Back in 1776, they agreed to have fireworks along with this celebration and it continued to be a tradition ever following year. Now the City of Bell is trying to rip away our ability to fully participate in this tradition and celebrate July 4th as we wished. Today July 4, 2019, is the first (and hopefully last) day fireworks are banned in Bell and many citizens, and I would agree that this holiday had a different feeling today. Something was missing. It is understood that in past years there was activity of illegal fireworks, but making all sales and usage of ANY fireworks illegal in this city is outrages. We should have the right to celebrate this tradition in our homes, with our families, without any issues. For those of you that live in this city can understand my frustration. If you are not from Bell, try to imagine how it would be if one of your yearly traditions with your family had to change because of a ban in your city.
