Margarita Arroyo started this petition to City of Beaverton and

Trillium Woods is our little inner city forest, a block away from Progress Ridge Lake. Half of it was demolished in 2016 to build Trillium Apartments. We were close to lose the other half this year, but the builder withdrew the application. We are asking for the City of Beaverton to purchase this land from the private owner and make it a nature park for future generations to enjoy.

Climate change is a great indicator on how hot our future summers will be, having this forest will increase the life expectancy, health and happiness of its community and the value added is that is also a sanctuary for deer, wild life,  several birds species including owls and bold eagles.

Saving this little patch of forest will add more quality of life for neighbors to go for a walk and enjoy the best quality of oxygen, incredible views and and philharmonic nature sounds.

Together we can make this a beautiful park for everyone's enjoyment.

We need to stand together and as neighbors say firmly to NO MORE predatory deforestation in our cities.
