We, the undersigned residents of Barrie and property owners on Deneb Street, are opposed to the proposed sidewalk on the south side of Deneb Street, within the Parkside Condo Complex.

The length of driveway for each home is such that this proposed sidewalk will absolutely impede on each homeowner’s ability to use their driveway to park their vehicles. Many vehicles will hang over onto the sidewalk, which is unsafe, and against the City of Barrie Bylaw. This will cause both substantial fee issues, and significant safety concerns for anyone using said sidewalk.

As well, it will disallow some homeowners to park multiple vehicles in their driveway, which is currently the case for some of us. And, as there is no street parking allowed anywhere in this complex, there are no alternative parking options to use – this directly impacts the right to enjoyment of our purchased properties, along with the above addressed safety and financial concerns.
