Too many animals at the shelter are being killed due to lack of space. We need more support to enlarge the shelter space. Also, we need more attention to the shelter system. Instead of euthanizing animals that are about to get kicked out of the shelter, we need to have emphasis in finding them a forever home, or find fosters who can take care of animals with certain conditions that bar them from being adopted. The most important thing is to make sure there are no more abandoned animals. We have been using microchipping as one method, but there are still too many animals without microchips, that there is no way to find the owner. We need to make sure all animals at the shelter are microchipped, and the owners should be aware of the importance of microchipping.
