It’s the right thing to do. We can no longer accept that those with hatred in their hearts be regognized above those with courage .

There are places for all moments in history -- there are history books, songs, movies, monuments, parks, roads, buildings, and so on. When we remember history, we build links -- in our hearts and minds. When we bless something, we name buildings and roads after that event or person. When we are there, we then feel a sweet breeze of the past still refreshing us. Such is not the case for a racist past or repressive regimes. Their place is in a museum, not so that we forget about such things, no. But only so we are clear that such past events must never repeat.

I think this is a wonderful reason to change the name of the street.

I am signing this petition on behalf of the minority. That includes everyone that isn’t the “superior race” why is it ok for y’all to do crime and cruel punishment and we can’t even go out without being harassed just because we LOOK a certain way or FEEL a certain way? Things have to change, and if that means changing the name of a street then, HEY, closing me in!

Honoring traitors to our country is one of the first steps to fascism.

Hi. If you'll change the name of this Road, I'll bring out my grammy's quilt and talk about it. Thank you. Donna

Texas has too many local heroes for us to glorify and galvanize such a person into our history books as if he were relevant to the progress being made in our country and in our state's capital.

A Dallas court ruled that their Robert E. Lee statue should come down. This should too - remembering history does not mean commemorating confederate leaders.
